ATLANTA – State Representative Mike Cameron (R-Rossville) applauds the recent opening of Georgia’s first Safe Haven Baby Box location at a Henry County fire station located in Ellenwood, Ga., which is fully operational as of today. During the 2026 legislative session, Rep. Cameron sponsored House Bill 350, legislation authorizing the placement of newborn safety devices at fire stations, police stations, hospitals and ambulance services and permitting those facilities to accept physical custody of a newborn in certain circumstances.
