Georgia State Economist Robert Buschman’s presentation outlined a mixed economic forecast for Georgia. While lower personal debt levels and stronger bank balance sheets are positive indicators, slow job and income growth, persistent inflation, high mortgage rates and record business bankruptcies continue to challenge families and small businesses across the state. Consumer and business confidence remain low, with many expressing concerns about rising prices and slowing growth.
