Rep. Jasmine Clark to Host Virtual Town Hall on COVID-19 Delta Variant, Return to School

ATLANTA – State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) will host a virtual town hall meeting to discuss the COVID-19 delta variant and returning to school on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 7 p.m. via Facebook Live. Rep. Clark will be joined by State Representative Rebecca Mitchell (D-Snellville) and Dr. Amber Schmidtke, who is a microbiologist.

“School starts next week and the threat of COVID-19 is still upon us,” said Rep. Clark. “With the delta variant dominating the number of new infections, parents and school workers have concern. With this town hall, we seek to equip parents with important information so they can make informed decisions about their child’s return to school.”

House and Senate Reapportionment Committees Announce Details for Joint Virtual-Only Town Hall Hearing

ATLANTA – The House Legislative & Congressional Reapportionment Committee, chaired by State Representative Bonnie Rich (R-Suwanee), and the Senate Reapportionment and Redistricting Committee, chaired by State Senator John F. Kennedy (R-Macon), will hold a virtual joint town hall hearing on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 5 – 7 p.m. via Zoom. Rep. Viola Davis Holds Town Hall for DeKalb Homeowners on Short Term Rentals, Illegal Personal Care Homes, Boarding Houses

ATLANTA – State Representative Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) recently hosted an emergency virtual town hall to discuss short term rentals, illegal personal care homes and boarding houses. Rep. Davis was joined by State Representative Rhonda Taylor (D-Conyers), and more than 100 DeKalb County residents, homeowners and business owners participated in the virtual town hall.
