ATLANTA – State Representative Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale) was recently appointed to serve as member of House Minority Caucus Deputy Whip Team. Rep. Burnough was appointed to serve on the deputy whip team by House Minority Whip David Wilkerson (D-Powder Springs), and her appointment is for the 2021-2022 legislative term, which is concurrent with her service as member of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Rep. Doreen Carter Encourages Citizens to “Go Red for Women,” Starts 21-Day Veggie Challenge

ATLANTA – State Representative Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) is encouraging citizens to “Go Red for Women” by wearing red on Thursday, February 4, 2021. “Go Red for Women” Day is celebrated by the American Heart Association (AHA) and is designated to increase women’s awareness and research about cardiovascular health. Rep. Carson Reports Traffic Fatalities Down Approximately 4.5 Percent in Georgia, Continues Work to Reduce Distracted Driving

ATLANTA – State Representative John Carson (R-Marietta) today announced that traffic fatalities in Georgia have decreased since the Georgia House first addressed distracted driving in 2017, as well as the passage of the Hands-Free law in 2018. Rep. Carson plans to pursue legislation during the 2021 legislative session to further reduce distracted driving in the state.

Rep. John LaHood Appointed to Majority Caucus Whip Team for 2021-2022 Legislative Term
