It comes from a well behind the house, a small community water system or a local utility serving families for generations. For the past five years, I have worked to address “forever chemicals,” also known as PFAS, and communities are right to ask not only how much exposure is acceptable, but why exposure should be acceptable at all.

ATLANTA – State Representative Steven Sainz (R-St. Marys), chairman of the House Interstate Cooperation Committee, along with the Camden County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), recently held a ceremony at the Historic Courthouse in Woodbine to commemorate the installation of the Rachel Hodge Memorial Intersection sign. The sign, located at the intersection of State Route 25 Spur/Satilla Bluff Road and Pine Forest Drive, is now permanently displayed in recognition of former Communications Officer Rachel J. Hodge and her legacy within the community.
