ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives recently passed House Bill 506, co-sponsored by State Representative Meagan Hanson (R-Brookhaven). HB 506, which passed overwhelmingly by a vote of 164-2, would allow the MARTA board to consider bids for contracts for concessions through a responsible and competitive process. Rep. Cannon Sponsors Legislation to Serve as Department of Public Health Regulatory Guide
ATLANTA – State Representative Park Cannon (D-Atlanta) sponsored House Bill 454 during the 2017 legislative session, legislation which will serve as a regulatory guide to the Department of Public Health. GUEST EDITORIAL: Why I Voted ‘Yes’ to Campus Carry

Without a doubt, this is a troubling time in America. Mass shootings have been happening with seemingly greater intensity. HB 280, the “campus carry” bill, sponsored by Rep. Mandi Ballinger (R-Canton), would permit 21 year old, licensed concealed carry permit holders to carry a concealed weapon on Georgia’s publicly funded college campuses, but not in dorms, on-campus preschools or at athletic events.
