Legislators to Celebrate Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.’s 113 Years of Service on Founders’ Day with House Resolution

ATLANTA – State Representatives Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale), Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta), Edna Jackson (D-Savannah), Mekyah McQueen (D-Smyrna) and Terry Cummings (D-Mableton) will celebrate 113 years of service, leadership and sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc with a House Resolution. To commemorate the milestone, these legislators will introduce a House Resolution, LC 129 0529, on the second day of the 2026 session, recognizing January 13, 2026, as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority’s Founders’ Day.

Majority Leaders Anavitarte and Efstration Announce Unified Legislative Calendar Ahead of 2026 Session

ATLANTA — Georgia Senate Majority Leader Jason Anavitarte (R–Dallas) and House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration (R–Mulberry) today announced their intent to pass an adjournment resolution drafted through close coordination, formally establishing the legislative calendar for the 2026 Regular Session of the Georgia General Assembly.

DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation to Hold Town Hall Meeting in Dunwoody

ATLANTA – DeKalb County House Delegation Chair Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), Vice Chair Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Secretary Long Tran (D-Dunwoody), along with members of the DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation, will hold a 2026 legislative session town hall meeting with state representatives on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. at Dunwoody City Hall.
