Gov. Deal Signs Balanced Budget Compact, Co-Sponsored by Rep. Welch
ATLANTA—State Representative Andy Welch (R–McDonough) commented today on Governor Nathan Deal signing House Bill 794, otherwise known as the Compact for a Balanced Budget. Co-sponsored by Rep. Gov. Deal Signs Bariatric Surgery Bill Sponsored by Rep. Dempsey
ATLANTA – State Representative Katie Dempsey (R-Rome) commented on Governor Nathan Deal signing into law House Bill 511 on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Sponsored by Rep. Dempsey, HB 511 creates a two-year pilot program to provide coverage for medically necessary bariatric procedures for the treatment and management of obesity and related conditions under the state health insurance plan. Governor Signs HB 933 Authored By Rep. Alex Atwood
ATLANTA— House Bill 933, sponsored by State Representative Alex Atwood (R-Brunswick), was signed into law by Governor Nathan Deal on Thursday, April 24, 2014. HB 933 will make permanent an existing sales tax exemption for aviation parts used to repair and maintain out-of-state airplanes. This exemption was scheduled to automatically expire on July 1, 2015.
