Rep. Victor Anderson and Sen. Bo Hatchett Announce BEAD Program Grants, Expanding High-Speed Internet Access in Habersham and Rabun Counties

ATLANTA – State Representative Victor Anderson (R-Cornelia), chairman of the House Governmental Affairs Committee, and State Senator Bo Hatchett (R-Cornelia), a Governor’s Floor Leader, announce that Habersham and Rabun counties have been included in the Georgia Technology Authority’s (GTA) final proposal for the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program grant funding, which aims to expand high-speed internet access to certain underserved areas of Northeast Georgia.

Rep. Matt Reeves, Chairman of the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Insurance Rates to Hold Media Availability Ahead of Thursday Morning Hearing

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth), chairman of the House Blue-Ribbon Study Committee on Insurance Rates, will hold two media availability sessions prior to the study committee’s first meeting on Thursday, August 28, 2025. The first media availability will be held via Zoom at 8:45 a.m., and the second will take place in person at 9:20 a.m. in the third-floor south alcove of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.
