ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) recently hosted the Youth Leadership Coweta group on April 16, 2014, as the students toured their state capitol. The Central Education Center students (CEC), selected from their base high schools of East Coweta, Newnan, and Northgate, visited the state capitol to learn first- hand about their state government. Bill Signings Mark Successful Legislative Session for Rep. Efstration

ATLANTA—State Representative Chuck Efstration (R–Dacula) wrapped up a successful 2014 legislative session after Governor Deal signed into law three bills that Rep. Efstration sponsored. Renovation of Altamaha Tech Camden Campus Begins

ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) commented today on upcoming renovation plans for the Altamaha Technical College (ATC) campus in Camden County. Last year, the General Assembly appropriated $1 million in the Fiscal Year 2014 (FY14) State Budget to renovate unused space at the College of Coastal Georgia Camden campus. According to a recent Board of Regents study, the College of Coastal Georgia Camden campus has three times more opportunity to take advantage of unused space. This unused space will allow Altamaha Tech to expand their technical programs inside the Camden Campus to meet immediate local workforce development needs and increase the number of enrollees in the school’s technical programs.
