Rep. Waites Secures Grant to Restore Homes and Businesses in House District 60

ATLANTA – State Representative Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta) announced today that the “District 60 Extreme Home Makeover” program will soon begin efforts to restore distressed homes and businesses in portions of DeKalb, Fulton, and Clayton counties. Rep. Dollar Recognizes Students for AP Success

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Dollar (R-Marietta) today led the Georgia House of Representatives in recognizing the accomplishments of Charles Wang and Lisa Wang, with House Resolutions 2019 and 2020. The two unrelated Walton High School seniors are the Georgia recipients of the Siemens Award for Advanced Placement (AP), which awards scholarships to only two students in each state. Rep. Atwood’s Legislation Makes Way through General Assembly, Heads to Governor

ATLANTA – State Representative Alex Atwood (R-Brunswick) commented today on the General Assembly’s passage of House Bill 1166, legislation that provides parents with an additional voluntary option for ensuring their children receive health insurance coverage. Sponsored by Rep. Atwood, HB 1166 passed the Senate yesterday with a vote of 42 to 2, showing tremendous bipartisan support for the measure. Rep. Oliver’s Legislation Makes Way through General Assembly, Heads to Governor

ATLANTA – State Representative Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) commented today on the General Assembly’s passage of House Bill 535, which passed the state Senate with a unanimous vote and passed the state House with a vote of 147 to 13, showing broad bipartisan support for the measure.
