ATLANTA – State Representative Al Williams (D- Midway) was recently named Vice Chairman of the House Transportation Subcommittee on Ports and Local Government by State Representative Kevin Tanner, Chairman of the Transportation Committee.
“I am very honored that Chairman Tanner thought enough of my work in transportation to name me vice chairman in an area, such as ports and local government, that is so critical to our region,” said Rep. Williams. “I’m thankful to Speaker Ralston and Chairman Tanner for their tremendous support, and I look forward to working with Chairman Hitchens, the subcommittee’s chairman, and the subcommittee members during this session.”
Rep. Williams also serves as a member on the Appropriations, Economic Development, Game, Fish, & Parks and Rules committees.
