ATLANTA – State Representative Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest) recently announced that she will honor the high school class of 2025’s valedictorians and salutatorians across her district.
“A proper, quality education for young adults in this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly,” said Rep. Moore. “Earning exemplary grades in the most challenging academic courses, while maintaining a substantial extracurricular schedule, deserves to be placed in Georgia’s hall of records. These students are not only academic achievers, but also demonstrate a commitment to leadership in the community. As a member of the House Higher Education Committee, I am committed to promoting education and supporting our state’s young people.”
This year’s recipients hail from Arabia Mountain High School, Martin Luther King Jr. High School, DeKalb School of Arts, Tucker High School, Southwest DeKalb High School, Rockdale County High School, Heritage High School and Rockdale Magnet School for Science & Technology.
Rep. Moore will tour the district to honor and recognize these recipients and their families over the next three weeks. Resolutions recognizing these honorees were also adopted by the Georgia House of Representatives during the 2025 legislative session.
Representative Angela Moore represents the citizens of District 91, which includes portions of DeKalb and Rockdale counties. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2021 and currently serves on the Creative Arts & Entertainment, Energy, Utilities & Telecommunications and Higher Education committees.
