ATLANTA – State Representative Angelika Kausche (D-Johns Creek) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking her first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Kausche to the Higher Education, Natural Resources & Environment and Small Business committees.
“I am honored to serve the people of Johns Creek and all Georgians. I believe my committee assignments align with my district’s needs, and I am very excited to have been assigned to the Higher Education Committee,” said Rep. Kausche. “I am looking forward to working with, and for, my constituents on the important issues in our district and in Georgia.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Angelika Kausche represents the citizens of District 50, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Higher Education, Natural Resources & Environment and Small Business committees.
