Rep. Arlene Beckles to Host Community Town Hall Meeting in Duluth

ATLANTA – State Representative Arlene Beckles (D-Norcross) will host a community town hall meeting on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Bunten Road Park in Duluth.  

“Our community is strongest when government leaders listen and respond to the voices of the people,” said Rep. Beckles. “This town hall is about bringing together multiple layers of leadership to ensure residents of Duluth are informed, empowered, and engaged in shaping our future.”

This community gathering will bring together state, county, city and school leaders to share updates, discuss ongoing projects and hear directly from residents about the issues that matter most.

Topics of discussion will include General Assembly updates and county projects, city updates and tax information, public school updates and judicial updates.

Speakers will include: Mayor Greg Whitlock, Tax Commissioner Denise Mitchell, State Senator Nabilah Islam-Parkes (D-Duluth), Judge Tracie H. Cason, Duluth Police Chief Jacquelyn Carruth, County Commissioner (District 1) Kirkland Carden, Principal of Chattahoochee Elementary School Mark D. Moon, and Brandon Odum will serve as the emcee.

The event is free and open to the public, and all Duluth residents are invited and encouraged to attend.
