ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Beth Beskin (R-Atlanta) to the Education, Judiciary, and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
“I am thrilled with the committee assignments that I have been given by Speaker Ralston and the Committee on Assignments,” said Rep. Beskin. “I know that these committees, particularly Education and Judiciary, will require a great deal of time and dedication. In his State of the State address, Governor Deal mentioned that an ongoing focus in his second term includes Education reform and the establishment of an Education Reform Commission. I am anxious to begin working with the Education Committee as we tackle these tough education issues in an effort to better serve children in District 54 and throughout the state.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
