Rep. Betsy Holland Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2019-2020 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Betsy Holland (D-Atlanta) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking her first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Holland to the Higher Education, Intragovernmental Coordination and Small Business Development committees.

“I’m delighted for the opportunity to serve on three committees that have such an impact on my district and the state of Georgia,” added Rep. Holland. “Given the number of small businesses in District 54, I particularly look forward to exploring ways to expand economic growth, job creation and small business development in our community.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

 Representative Betsy Holland represents the citizens of District 54, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Higher Education, Intragovernmental Coordination and Small Business Development committees.
