ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Bill Werkheiser (R-Glennville) to the Industry and Labor, Information and Audits, and State Properties committees.
“I am extremely thankful for the Speaker’s and the Committee’s efforts in the assignments,” said Rep. Werkheiser. “Because of the amount of prisons in our area and my interest in inmate ministry, I am thankful to have a seat on the State Institutions and Properties Committee, which oversees the Department of Corrections. I am also pleased to serve on the Industry and Labor committee, as I have owned and operated small businesses for 30 years. Furthermore, I have a passion for organization and accounting, so being a member on the Information and Audits Committee is right up my alley. I am thankful to Speaker Ralston and the Committee on Assignments for carefully matching our individual skills sets and meeting the specific needs of each district through these committee assignments.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.
