Rep. Brian Prince Reappointed Chairman of House Urban Affairs Committee

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments reappointed State Representative Brian Prince (D-Augusta) as the Chairman of the House Urban Affairs Committee.

“I am humbled and honored to be reappointed as Chairman of the House Urban Affairs Committee,” said Rep. Prince. “I want to thank Speaker Burns and the Committee on Assignments for their confidence in me, and I look forward to addressing the issues concerning the citizens of this great state.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives. 

The House Urban Affairs Committee deals with a broad array of policy issues pertinent to Georgia’s metropolitan areas.

Representative Brian Prince represents the citizens of District 132, which includes Jefferson County, as well as a portion of Richmond County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2013 and currently serves as Chairman of the Urban Affairs Committee. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government and the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Motor Vehicles, Reapportionment and Redistricting, Technology and Infrastructure Innovation, Transportation and Ways and Means committees.
