ATLANTA – State Representative Bruce Williamson (R-Monroe) recently received an “A” rating from the National Rifle Association of America. This grade serves as an evaluation of Rep. Williamson’s support of Second Amendment issues during his time in office.
“As a lawmaker, I believe it is my duty to protect and preserve the Second Amendment, just as our founding fathers intended,” said Rep. Williamson. “I am proud that the NRA recognized my continued efforts to preserve our citizens’ most basic, constitutional rights.”
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America’s oldest civil rights and sportsmen’s group. More than five million members strong, the NRA strives to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The NRA also provides firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
