ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah), chair of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus, today announces the upcoming African Diaspora Day on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 9 a.m. at the Georgia Ports Authority in Savannah, Georgia.
The event seeks to foster economic ties between the state of Georgia and African nations, and it will offer networking, collaboration and growth opportunities.
State legislators and dignitaries will be in attendance, including: State Representatives Solomon Adesanya (D-Marietta); Segun Adeyina (D-Grayson); El-Mahdi Holly (D-Stockbridge); State Senator Donzella James (D-Atlanta); CEO of the International Trade Exchange for Nigeria Bishop Adejube; Secretary of the BA Foundation of Nigeria, Inc. The event will begin at the Georgia Ports Authority, followed by excursions to Gulfstream and the World Trade Center Savannah.
