ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will host Commissioner Kevin Tanner of the Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) as the keynote speaker of a lunch and learn event on Monday, June 16, 2025, at 12 p.m. at the Southwest Chatham Library in Savannah.
Commissioner Tanner will deliver a presentation on the current state of behavioral health in Georgia, share what resources are available to Chatham County residents and how to access crisis support services. Attendees will also learn about behavioral health job opportunities.
Rep. Gilliard encourages service providers, organization presidents, pastors and caretakers to attend this event.

Representative Carl Gilliard represents the citizens of District 162, which includes a portion of Chatham County. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2016 and currently serves as Secretary of the Creative Arts & Entertainment.
