ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah) will host a road dedication ceremony in honor of C. Larry McDuffie on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. John Baptist Church in Savannah.
Mr. McDuffie had a successful career as a choir director. He was also a well-known morning radio show host for WSOK in the Savannah area.
During the 2023 legislative session, Rep. Gilliard sponsored House Resolution 493 to dedicate the intersection of State Route 204 at Whitebluff Road in Chatham County in honor of Mr. McDuffie. This resolution was incorporated into House Resolution 256, which serves as the Georgia General Assembly’s annual road/bridge dedication legislation.
