ATLANTA – Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) recently named State Representative Chad Nimmer (R-Blackshear) as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government. Rep. Nimmer will also serve as a member on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development and on the Game, Fish & Parks, Natural Resources & Environment and Transportation committees.
“I am very excited about my new role on the Appropriations Committee,” said Rep. Nimmer. “I will be joining an amazing team, and I look forward to working alongside my fellow Appropriations Committee members as we move our great state forward.”

Representative Chad Nimmer represents the citizens of District 178, which includes portions of Appling, Brantley, Pierce and Wayne counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2011 and currently serves as the Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on General Government. He also serves on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Economic Development and on the Game, Fish & Parks, Natural Resources & Environment and Transportation committees.
