ATLANTA – State Representative Chuck Williams (R-Watkinsville) was recently appointed to serve as the Chairman of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Resource Management.
“I would like to thank the Chair of the full Natural Resources and Environment Committee, Lynn Smith, for appointing me to oversee this subcommittee,” said Rep. Williams. “Our state’s natural resources are so precious, and it is crucial that we work to protect those resources. I look forward to our work on this subcommittee as we seek to make the most environmentally sound decisions for our state.”
The House Natural Resources and Environment Committee is assigned legislation pertaining to management, quality, and usage of Georgia’s natural resources. Within the full committee, there are two standing subcommittees: Environmental Quality and Resource Management. Legislation is assigned to these subcommittees based on the subject matter of each individual bill or resolution.
