ATLANTA – State Representative Dale Washburn (R-Macon) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking his first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Washburn to the Banks & Banking, Higher Education and Regulated Industries committees.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in the Georgia House of Representatives,” said Rep. Washburn. “I am grateful to Speaker Ralston and the House Committee on Assignments for the committee appointments I received. I look forward to serving on these three committees.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Dale Washburn represents the citizens of District 141, which includes portions of Bibb and Monroe counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Higher Education and Regulated Industries committees.
