ATLANTA – State Representative Demetrius Douglas (D-Stockbridge) was recently appointed by Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to the Halls of Fame Authority Overview Committee. Rep. Douglas’ term on the overview committee will run concurrently with the 2023-2024 legislative term of the Georgia General Assembly.

Douglas. “The Georgia Music Hall of Fame Authority and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Authority do an excellent job highlighting the rich history of our state’s musicians and athletes. The Halls of Fame Authority Overview Committee periodically reviews the operations of the Georgia Music Hall of Fame Authority and the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Authority. The committee is tasked with evaluating the success of each authority and ensuring that these authorities fulfill their statutory duties and functions.
Representative Demetrius Douglas represents the citizens of District 78, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Health, Insurance, Intragovernmental Coordination and Motor Vehicles committees.
