Rep. El-Mahdi Holly to Host Third Annual Black Men and Boys Day Tomorrow

ATLANTA – State Representative El-Mahdi Holly (D-Stockbridge), in partnership with the Black Male Initiative Georgia, will host the Third Annual Black Men and Boys Day TOMORROW, March 27, 2025, at 1:45 p.m. in room 216 of the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta.

The event, themed “The State of the Black Male,” seeks to raise awareness and promote collaborative efforts to empower Black men and boys throughout Georgia, while addressing the issues they face across the state.

Rep. Holly and John Taylor, executive director of the Black Male Initiative Georgia, will lead the event to highlight the importance of addressing the challenges faced by Black men and boys in Georgia. They will discuss the current state of Black males in the Georgia, as well as the initiatives being implemented to foster positive outcomes in education, employment, health and community engagement. The event will also cover legislation related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, criminalization, incarceration and mental health, alongside a presentation of strategies and initiatives aimed at supporting Black men and boys.
