Rep. Eric Bell to Host Second Annual “Out the Trap Day” at the Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Eric Bell (D-Jonesboro), in partnership with Cannabis Access Reform and Education (CARE) for Georgia, will host the second annual “Out the Trap Day” on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, Georgia.

“For many Georgia families, the legislative hurdles surrounding medical cannabis are not merely political—they are deeply personal,” said Rep. Bell. “The event highlights the necessity of ensuring that patients suffering from chronic illnesses, cancer and neurological disorders have safe, regulated access to medical treatment. By bringing faith leaders, entrepreneurs and advocates together, ‘Out the Trap Day’ continues the longstanding tradition of movements seeking healing and justice for underserved communities.”

Rep. Bell invites attendees to arrive at the State Capitol by 9:30 a.m. for a meet-and-greet with guests and volunteers. He will also recognize attendees from the House Gallery of the House Chamber while the House is in session. The event will conclude with a town hall at 11 a.m. on the South Wing Steps of the State Capitol.

Rep. Bell emphasizes that “Out the Trap Day” represents a statewide advocacy summit where public leadership and community experience meets legislative action. He adds that the event aims to foster conversations regarding economic development, health equality, criminal justice reform and the modernization of medical cannabis policy in Georgia.

CARE for Georgia is an advocacy organization focused on advancing safe and equitable medical cannabis access, public education, criminal justice reform and community reinvestment throughout the state.
