Rep. Eric Bell to Host Sine Die Block Party Event at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Eric Bell (D-Jonesboro) will host a Sine Die block party event on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 1 – 6 p.m. at Liberty Plaza in Atlanta.

The event will include live music, food trucks, interactive booths, family-friendly games and meet and greet opportunities with state representatives.

The event’s sponsors include Dona Mathews and Nicole Bradford, managing partners of Strategix; Chris Bruce, Policy and Advocacy Director of ACLU Georgia; Councilman Alfred Dixon; State Representatives Inga Willis (D-Atlanta) and Bryce Berry (D-Atlanta) and the founders of 404 Day.

“Hosting this block party is not just about celebrating the end of the legislative session; it’s about coming together as a community to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of those who impact our lives,” said Councilman Alfred Dixon.

At the event, Rep. Bell will recognize Yung Joc, hip-hop icon, entrepreneur and philanthropist; Nina Packer, founder of nonprofit planning and administration and leader in nonprofit, education and entertainment; AJ Calloway, entertainment reporter and original host of 106 & Park; Gerald Griggs, attorney and community activist; Michelle Taylor Willis, award-winning media executive, author and CEO of Gagnant Media & SoFu Lifestyle Magazine; Charles Black, civil rights activist, journalist and figure in desegregating American hospitals; Kilo Ali, legendary Atlanta hip-hop artist known for Show Me Love, Baby Baby and Love In Ya Mouth; Pastor Troy, Atlanta hip-hop icon, recognized for Vice Versa, No Mo Play in G.A. and Are We Cuttin’; and posthumous honoree, Rev. Clarice Church, civil Rights activist, reverend and figure in the desegregation of American hospitals.
