ATLANTA – State Representative Farooq Mughal (D-Dacula) recently hosted the Honorable Rachel Galloway, Consul General of the United Kingdom at the Georgia State Capitol on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
“I want to thank Honorable Rachel Galloway, Consul General of the United Kingdom, for visiting the Georgia State Capitol,” said Rep. Mughal. “Her insights into international relations and economic partnerships are invaluable. I am hopeful for continued growth in economic relations between the United Kingdom and Georgia in the years ahead.”
During their meeting, Rep. Mughal and Consul General Galloway engaged on how Georgia and the United Kingdom (U.K.) can enhance their economic ties and further strengthen their partnerships. In recent years, bilateral trade relations between Georgia and the U.K. have shown steady growth with both regions benefiting from their strong economic ties.
Rep. Mughal also presented the Consul General with House Resolution 881, in recognition of her excellent diplomatic service and her efforts to strengthen the economic ties between Georgia and the United Kingdom to promote economic growth and prosperity.
Representative Farooq Mughal represents the citizens of District 105, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves on the Special Rules, Judiciary Non-Civil and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
