ATLANTA – State Representative Floyd Griffin (D-Milledgeville) issues the following statement in response to the recent news of the four missing soldiers from Fort Stewart, Georgia:
“At this time, my family and I are thinking of the four Georgia soldiers who have gone missing while training abroad in Lithuania. As a former battalion commander at Fort Stewart, I know firsthand the deep bond that exists within our military community, and my heart goes out to their families, friends and fellow service members during this trying time. These brave soldiers have dedicated their lives to service, and we are grateful for the dedicated teams working tirelessly to find them. To all those anxiously awaiting news, we stand with you and lift you up in support and prayer.”
Representative Floyd Griffin represents the citizens of District 149, which includes portions of Baldwin, Bibb and Jones counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Defense & Veterans Affairs, Special Rules and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
