Rep. Floyd Griffin to Present House Bill 203 During House Higher Education Committee Meeting at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Floyd Griffin (D-Milledgeville) will present House Bill 203—legislation he sponsored that would include graduates of historically black colleges or universities (HBCUs) to serve on the Board of Regents—during the House Higher Education Committee meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1 p.m. in room 606 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

HB 203, which Rep. Griffin introduced during the 2025 legislative session, would require that the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents include at least one at-large member of the board to be a graduate of a HBCU.
