Rep. Gary Richardson Sworn in to Georgia House of Representatives for 2023-2024 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Gary Richardson (R-Evans) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, for the 2023-2024 legislative term. The swearing-in ceremony marks the start of Rep. Richardson’s first term in the Georgia General Assembly.

“I am honored to have been elected to serve the people of the 125th House District,” said Rep. Richardson. “As a former county commissioner for our district, I promise to continue the fight for conservative values in our great state and deliver positive results for the citizens of Columbia and McDuffie counties.”

Rep. Richardson previously served as the Columbia County Commissioner for district three for eight years. He was elected during a special election to succeed former State Rep. Barry Fleming (R-Harlem) and was appointed to the House Public Health, Public Safety and Homeland Security and Transportation committees.

Representative Gary Richardson represents the citizens of District 125, which includes portions of Columbia and McDuffie counties. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and has been appointed to the Public Health, Public Safety and Homeland Security and Transportation committees.
