ATLANTA – State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Garden City) will host Alfred Ely Beach High School Day at the Capitol in honor of Beach High School’s 150th anniversary on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Georgia State Capitol.
“Beach High School alumni from across the nation have been invited to attend this event to celebrate 150 years of excellence in education and to honor Beach High School’s past and current leadership,” said Rep. Gilliard. “Additionally, I’m proud to host the Lady Bulldogs basketball team, a determined group of young students recently named GHSA Class AAA Girls state champs. Beach High School is a distinguished institution of learning, and I look forward to honoring all past and present teachers, faculty, staff and students at the State Capitol.”
Rep. Gilliard will recognize Beach High School alumni and Beach High School’s Lady Bulldogs varsity basketball team, which recently won the 2016-2017 Georgia High School Association Class AAA Girls State Basketball Championship, during a morning order in the House chamber.
