ATLANTA— State Representative Micah Gravley (R-Douglasville) commented today on the recent report issued by the Journal of the American Medical Association. The report, composed of five papers, supports the organizations’ stance that cannabis oil be used for medicinal purposes and is supported by “high-quality evidence.” Rep. Gravley issued the following statement:
“I am extremely happy about the report of the nation’s top medical organization formally recognizing cannabis as having medicinal qualities which can be useful in treating a multitude of diagnosis,” said Rep. Gravley. “In Georgia, the legislature recognized this almost 35 years ago and again in 2015. This report further confirms what hundreds of Georgia patients and families have been fighting for, and I am proud to have been a part of that fight.”
