ATLANTA – State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Tucker) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking her first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Clark to the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Higher Education and Interstate Cooperation committees.
“I am pleased with my committee assignments for my freshman year as a legislator and look forward to the opportunity to serve on each committee,” said Rep. Clark. “I especially look forward to working on the Higher Education Committee as I anticipate it being a big year for Georgia’s college and technical school students.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Jasmine Clark represents the citizens of District 108, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. She was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Higher Education and Interstate Cooperation committees.
