ATLANTA – State Representative Jasmine Clark (D-Lilburn) will hold a press conference with community violence intervention (CVI) groups on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.
At the press conference, Rep. Clark and CVI groups will discuss funding cuts, as well as urge the legislature to allocate funds in the state budget to support CVI’s work. CVI is a community-led ecosystem of organizations, practitioners and partners working to prevent gun violence and support people and communities impacted by harm.
Rep. Clark also urges the Georgia General Assembly to pass House Bill 291, the Community Health Worker Certification Act. To read more about HB 291, please click here.
