Rep. Jeff May Elected House Republican Caucus Vice-Chairman

ATLANTA – The House Republican Caucus recently elected state Representative Jeff May (R- Monroe) as the new caucus vice-chairman. In his new position, Rep. May will assist with member services and incumbent re-election, candidate recruitment, caucus fundraising, technology utilization, and presiding over House Republican Caucus meetings in the absence of the chair. Prior to the elections, which were held at a recent caucus meeting, Rep. May served as caucus secretary/treasurer.
“It is with great humility that I accept the responsibility of Vice-Chair of the House Republican Caucus,” said Rep. May. “I am humbled that the members of our caucus have allowed me to continue to serve them in this new capacity.”
The leadership change came after Rep. Jay Roberts became House Transportation Committee Chairman and stepped down as House Republican Caucus Chairman. Rep. Donna Sheldon (R- Dacula), formerly the caucus vice-chairman, was elected to the position of caucus chairman and Rep. Allen Peake (R- Macon) was elected secretary/treasurer.
