ATLANTA – State Representative Darryl Jordan (D-Riverdale) was recently presented with the “Legislator of the Year” award by the Clayton-Henry-Fayette-Spalding Chapter of the Rainbow Push Coalition.
“I am honored to have received this award from the Rainbow Push Coalition,” said Rep. Jordan. “It is humbling to receive an award like this from such an important organization.”
Rep. Jordan was presented with this award by the Chapter President, State Senator Gail Davenport (D-Jonesboro).
The Rainbow PUSH Coalition (RPC) is a multi-racial, multi-issue, progressive, international membership organization that advocates social change. RPC was formed in December 1996 by Reverend Jesse L. Representative Darryl Jordan represents the citizens of District 77, which includes portions of Clayton and Fayette counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2000, and currently serves on the Banks & Banking, Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, and Transportation committees.
