Rep. Jordan Ridley Co-Sponsors Resolution Supporting Increased Border Security

ATLANTA – State Representative Jordan Ridley (R-Woodstock) recently co-sponsored House Resolution 1019 to support increased security at the nation’s border and urges Congress to close the southern border.

“The Biden Administration’s reckless border policies have furthered mistrust in our federal government and created a dangerous precedent that illegal immigration will be tolerated by the government,” said Rep. Ridley. “We will not tolerate illegal immigration, especially as rates of illicit fentanyl smuggling rises. We urge the federal government to support increased protection for America’s borders and support any action taken by Governor Kemp to allocate resources to the protection of the southern border.”

The resolution aims to support increased protections for America’s border and support for any action taken by Governor Brian Kemp to allocate resources and assistance to the protection of the southern border, as well as the actions of Governor Greg Abbott to safeguard the people of Texas. HR 1019 also encourages Congress to close the southern border and reinstate funding, as well as construction of the border wall. House Resolution 1019 is sponsored by Rep. Steven Sainz (R-St. Marys).
