Rep. Karla Drenner to Honor Members of the American Society for Public Administration at the Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) will host members of the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) at the State Capitol on Monday, March 20, 2017, in honor of Public Service Month.

“The American Society for Public Administration is an outstanding organization dedicated to accountability and performance, professionalism, ethics and social equity,” said Rep. Drenner. “With approximately 8,000 members ranging from civil servants to researchers to students, ASPA’s far-reaching, positive impact is felt across the country, and I am proud to host these men and women under the Gold Dome.”

Rep. Drenner will lead the Georgia House of Representatives in honoring the ASPA on Monday during a morning order in the House chamber.

Rep. Drenner will also present House Resolution 1819, a resolution passed during the 2016 legislative session, commending ASPA at their 2017 annual conference in Atlanta on Sunday, March 19, 2017.

The American Society for Public Administration, which was founded in 1939, is the largest public administration professional association, and its mission is to advance public and nonprofit administration art, science, teaching and practice.
