ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) was recently named the 2025 Legislator of the Year by the Johnson & Johnson Georgia Retirees Association in recognition for her commitment to healthcare equity, chronic disease advocacy and policies that support the quality of life for all Georgians, particularly in vulnerable and underserved populations.
“I am deeply honored to receive this recognition from the Johnson & Johnson Georgia Retirees Association,” said Rep. Schofield. “This award is a tribute not just to my work, but to the voices of the patients, caregivers and advocates who inspire me daily. It also underscores the importance of continued leadership at the intersection of policy, health and community empowerment. I remain committed to building a healthcare system that is equitable, innovative and compassionate—where every person, regardless of their zip code or diagnosis, has the opportunity to thrive.”
The award acknowledges Rep. Schofield’s role in supporting legislation that advances public health, protects patients’ rights and supports biomedical innovation and access to care across Georgia.
The Johnson & Johnson Georgia Retirees Association is a network of former employees who continue to engage in civic and philanthropic initiatives across the state. The organization praised Rep.
