ATLANTA – State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville), Chairman of the House Transportation Committee, recently appointed State Representative Dominic LaRiccia (R-Douglas) to serve on the Executive Committee of the Southern Georgia Regional Transportation Roundtable. This committee will discuss Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) implementation within Rep. LaRiccia’s district.
“I am truly thankful to Chairman Tanner for entrusting me to serve on this very important committee,” said Rep. LaRiccia. “I am committed to working hard to meet Georgia’s essential transportation infrastructure needs, and more specifically, the transportation infrastructure needs of the South Georgia region. My hopes are that every single county in this region will work together as we pave the way for Georgia’s future.”
The TSPLOST Referendum allows Georgia voters to enact a regional sales tax to fund transportation improvements within their communities.
