Rep. LaRiccia Appointed to House Rural Development Council

ATLANTA – State Representative Dominic LaRiccia (R-Douglas) was recently appointed by Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) to serve on the House Rural Development Council. This council, which was created by House Resolution 389 during the recent legislative session, will work with rural communities to find ways to encourage economic growth.

“I am honored to be appointed by Speaker Ralston to serve on such a vital council,” said Rep. LaRiccia. “I look forward to working with my House colleagues on this initiative as we travel the state and hear from citizens, business owners and local officials about the distinct challenges facing rural Georgia. It is crucial that we examine practical solutions, both at the state and local level, to address those issues to support and bolster the economies in rural Georgia.”

The House Rural Development Council will host its first meeting this month. More details on that meeting will be announced soon.
