Rep. Long Tran Issues Statement on Antisemitic Flyers Found in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs

ATLANTA – State Representative Long Tran (D-Dunwoody) today issued the following statement regarding antisemitic flyers found in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs on Sunday, February 5:

“On Sunday morning, residences in Dunwoody, Sandy Springs and across the state received bags filled with antisemitic messages of hate. My colleague, State Representative Esther Panitch, was targeted with multiple bags in her driveway. My colleagues and I in the Georgia General Assembly condemn the spread of bigotry and hate. I know that my constituents in House District 80 stand with me in speaking out against these antisemitic messages. The cities of Chamblee, Doraville and Dunwoody are rich in their diversity and inclusiveness. We are united against the attempt to instill fear and hate into our community. As the state representative of House District 80, I know this is not who we are as Georgians. I want the constituents in my district to know that they need not be afraid and that I will continue to fight back against bigotry.”

Representative Long Tran represents the citizens of District 80, which includes portions of DeKalb County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves on the Code Revision, Creative Arts & Entertainment and Technology and Infrastructure Innovation committees.
