ATLANTA – State Representative Lydia Glaize (D-Fairburn) was recently appointed by the Fulton County Legislative Delegation’s leadership team to chair the delegation’s bicameral education committee.
“I am excited to work with my fellow delegation members to drive meaningful change that encourages our schools, students and families to thrive,” said Rep. Glaize. “Looking ahead to the 2024 legislative session, our committee is already starting to prepare legislative solutions to the pressing issues facing our schools in Fulton County. I look forward to collaborating with our legislative and educational leaders to develop innovative legislation that empowers our educators and students.”
As chair of the Fulton County Legislative Delegation’s Education Committee, Rep. Glaize will work with other members of the delegation to vet and advance legislation that would benefit schools, students and families throughout Fulton County. The delegation’s committee is comprised of members of the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia Senate.
Representative Lydia Glaize represents the citizens of District 67, which includes portions of Coweta and Fulton counties. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2022 and currently serves on the Education, Higher Education and Information and Audits committees.
