Rep. Mandisha Thomas Welcomes USDA State Executive Director Arthur Tripp Jr. as Chaplain of the Day for Georgia House of Representatives

ATLANTA – State Representative Mandisha Thomas (D-South Fulton) welcomed Arthur Tripp Jr. as he served as the “Chaplain of the Day” for the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, March 6, 2023.

“It was an honor to introduce my dear friend Arthur Trip, who has dedicated his public service to overseeing policies that help our farmers thrive,” said Rep. Thomas. “Tripp’s sermon provided the perfect dose of encouragement as we kicked off Crossover Day, and I’m looking forward to continuing to partner with him to help Georgia farmers thrive.”

Arthur Tripp was appointed by the President Joe Biden to serve as the state executive director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency in Georgia in October 2021. Prior to his appointment, Tripp served as the Senior Policy Advisor to U.S. Congressman David Scott, current Chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture.

Tripp is an ordained minister and attends 12Stone Church. Born in Warner Robins, Tripp lives in Hoschton with his wife and son.

Tripp’s sermon in the House Chamber marked the start of Legislative Day 28, also known as Crossover Day.
