ATLANTA – State Representative Matthew Gambill (R-Cartersville) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 14, 2019, marking his first day of the 2019-2020 legislative term. Monday was the first day of the first term of the 155th legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly.
In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Gambill to the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Economic Development & Tourism and Insurance committees.
“I am grateful for the opportunity I have been given to serve on the Insurance, Economic Development and Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight committees,” said Rep. Gambill. “I look forward to serving the citizens of House District 15 on these committees and making sure that I am a good steward of the responsibility that has been entrusted to me.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Matthew Gambill represents the citizens of District 15, which includes portions of Bartow County. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves on the Budget & Fiscal Affairs Oversight, Economic Development & Tourism and Insurance committees.
