Rep. Mesha Mainor Selected For American Legislative Exchange Council 50 Under 50 Award

ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta) yesterday  received the American Legislative Exchange Council’s (ALEC) 50 Under 50 Award at the council’s 50th anniversary celebration in Washington D.C. ALEC seeks to honor leaders in the states that have shaped the course of American governance and inspired ideas that empower the nation’s progress.

“I am incredibly honored to be recognized as one of ALEC’s 50 Under 50 award recipients,” said Rep. Mainor. “I am proud of the work this organization has accomplished over the last five decades. Through extensive research and in-depth discussions centered on establishing solutions that promote effective government and growth, we are able to maintain economic security and, most importantly, protect our hardworking taxpayers. I want to thank Chief Executive Officer Lisa B. Newton and ALEC’s Board of Directors and executives for this humbling recognition. I look forward to continuing to foster strong relationships within ALEC and working toward their mission of shaping the path of American governance.”

ALEC serves as America’s largest nonpartisan, voluntary organization of state lawmakers committed to the fundamentals of limited government, free markets and federalism. Comprised of nearly one-quarter of the country’s state legislators and stakeholders from across the policy spectrum, ALEC members represent more than 60 million Americans and provide jobs to more than 30 million people in the United States.

Representative Mesha Mainor represents the citizens of District 56, which includes portions of Fulton County. She was elected to the House of Representatives in 2020 and currently serves on the Education, Governmental Affairs, Regulated Industries and State Planning & Community Affairs committees.
